Access details are sent in your booking confirmation.
Your account
- You need a verified email address to book or buy.
- Give us accurate details and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- We may suspend or close an account that is used abusively, fraudulently or in breach of these terms.
Booking a session
How a booking works
- Choose a space (Music Studio, Visual Space or Entire Space), a date, time and length, and any specialist you want. The price is shown before you pay.
- Bookings need at least 1 hour notice, and we may leave a short gap of about 15 minutes between sessions.
- Your booking is a request until it is confirmed. When you pay by card, the amount is authorised (held) on your card and is only taken once the booking is confirmed. If a booking is declined, or nobody confirms it within the response time (usually 24 hours), the hold is released. Your bank decides how quickly the hold disappears from your statement.
- If you start checkout and do not finish, the slot is released after about 45 minutes.
- Bookings that are fully covered by a package or Studio Credit skip the card payment and are confirmed in the same way.
- You will get a confirmation email once your booking is confirmed, and reminders before it starts.
Prices and payment
- All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT.
- Evening and weekend sessions may cost more, as shown when you book.
- Where you book a specialist (for example an engineer), their fee is part of the total shown to you.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Cancelling
| Cancel at least 48 hours before the start | Full refund of the amount paid. |
|---|---|
| Cancel less than 48 hours before the start | 50% refund. |
| Request not yet confirmed, or declined/expired | The card hold is released and you are not charged. |
| No-show | No refund. |
You can cancel from your account. Refunds go back to the original payment method and normally reach you within 5–10 working days, depending on your bank. If a booking was paid with a package or Studio Credit, the hours or credit are returned on the same basis.
If we or your specialist have to cancel, you will get a full refund, or the option to rebook.
Because studio hire is for a specific date and time, the 14-day cancellation right that applies to many online purchases does not apply to it. The cancellation terms above do. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.
Rescheduling
You can ask to move a booking from your account at least 24 hours before it starts, subject to availability. Inside 24 hours, please contact us and we will do our best to help.
Using the studio
- Your session runs for the time you booked. Late arrival does not extend it, and you need to be packed up and out by the end time.
- Only bring the number of guests you booked for.
- Look after the space and equipment, and follow any house rules and instructions from us. Please keep noise reasonable for our neighbours and do not smoke or vape inside.
- No illegal activity. We can end a session without a refund if it is unsafe, unlawful or breaks these terms.
- You are responsible for loss of or damage to the studio, equipment or property caused by you or your guests, and we may charge the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.
- Bring your own instruments, equipment and storage. We are not responsible for personal belongings or for recordings, photos or files left on our systems, so please back up your work.
Specialists
Engineers, photographers and other specialists on the site offer their services through A-Bridge Studios. Booking one is a request to that person, and they have a set time to accept it. Their fee is included in the price you pay, and we pay it to them through Stripe Connect.
Packages and Studio Credit
- Packages give you a set number of hours for a space or specialist. The price, hours, expiry, any rollover and any minimum term are shown before you buy, and the terms you saw at purchase are the ones that apply to you.
- Monthly packages renew automatically each month until you cancel. If a minimum term applies, you cannot cancel before it ends.
- Hours in a package can only be used for the space or specialist it covers, and expire on the date shown in your account.
- Studio Credit is a balance in pounds you can put towards bookings. Your balance and history are visible in your account.
Our responsibility to you
We will provide the space and services you book with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Otherwise, our total liability to you for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or missed opportunities. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as power or network failure or severe weather. If that stops your session going ahead, we will refund or rebook it.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, email info@abridgestudios.co.uk and we will try to put it right quickly.
General
- We may update these terms. The version in force when you book is the one that applies to that booking.
- If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring a claim in your home courts.
